By now, we’re no stranger to the name Extraordinary Attorney Woo, or her extraordinary greeting that has even been turned into numerous TikTok videos!
Locally, the series was on Netflix’s trending list for nearly eight weeks straight, snagging number one for five of those weeks. And it’s not just us who has been entranced by its incredibly storyline and cast, as it also was the most-watched television series in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.
That of course meant tuning in for the finale had everyone sitting back and wishing there were more episodes to come, and Season 2 – though confirmed – seems just a tad too far away to scratch that Woo Young-Woo-less itch!
If you, like most of us in the world, are feeling the loss of this popular show, don’t worry. You can now fill that void with these other great alternatives that share similar themes or tropes!
Move To Heaven
If you’re still in that k-drama frame of mind, Move To Heaven is a perfect place to start.
Our protagonist Geu-Roo suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Together with his main caretaker and father Jeong-U, the two run a business called Move to Heaven – the crew who clear out rooms of loved ones who pass on by collecting valuables in a yellow box and getting rid of everything else.
However, when Geu-Roo suffers a personal loss, he has to question everything he knows about life, death, and everything in between.
Spanning 10 episodes and dealing with the usually-taboo subject of death, this slice-of-life drama also doubles down on mental health and conditions. It blends everything viewers love about Extraordinary Attorney Woo with similarly incredible acting, an immersive story, and poignant tear-jerking segments that is guaranteed to bring a tear to your eye.

Murphy has savant syndrome, which renders him with exceptional talent in visualising and piecing together complex medical problems.
However, being brought into the high-stakes atmosphere of hospital life means he has to not only prove his salt as a doctor in his own right, but also overcome the prejudices of his colleagues and the hospital board – all while having to figure life out in a completely new city.
